The 18th edition of the wiring regulations

July 2018 saw the publication of the new "Regs" and we have been successfully offering the new courses on a regular basis.

City & Guilds ANNOUNCED THAT EVERYONE MUST SIT THE “FULL” EXAM and the Jib WILL expect that registered electricians will need to be qualified to the 18th BY JULY 2019.

NICEIC say that knowledge of the new Standard must be demonstrated as soon as possible.

"Block" options ARE available for new starters to the trade

The City & Guilds 2365 is the recognised course that you need to become an electrician. We have traditionally delivered this as "blended learning" by studying at home and attending in the evenings over a two year period.

Alternatively you can complete both Levels 2 and 3 within 13 weeks by attending during the day Monday - Friday.

The 18th Edition Wiring Regulations course 2382-18 is included in the 13 week block.

Also on offer is a "combined" version where you attend the Centre for a two-week block for the practical and then complete the theory side using blended learning from home. (It's up to you how long this takes!)

Please ring us for availability

Part P has changed for new starters,

You now need a Level 3 qualification to register as a Competent Person. We can offer you a route to this, by attending our four-week block course and then sitting an On-line Knowledge Assessment (OKA) exam.

2391 Inspection & Testing courses are available!

The revised C&G 2391 qualification replaced the old 2394 and 2395. The exam is "open book" and you can take Guidance Note 3 into the computer room and sit a multi-choice exam. There are three versions of the qualification ; 2391-50 is for Initial Verification of new work ; 2391-51 is for Periodic Inspections and 2391-52 is the "combined" version which qualifies you for both aspects.
