SYMCA Funded Courses
We are excited to offer a range of fully funded opportunities to people unemployed, self-employed and employed throughout South Yorkshire through Adult Skills Funding (ASF) in partnership with the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA).
We are able to offer the below courses:
Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations: Full-Time 7 Weeks
Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations: Full-Time 7 Weeks (Must hold a Level 2 Diploma / Successful candidates will be able to move onto this course after completion of there Level 2)
Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018: 3 Days
Level 3 Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing 2391-52: 5 Days (Theory & Practical Understanding Required)
The below courses require you to hold a Gold Card and/or NVQ L3:
Level 3 Small Solar Photovoltaic Systems: 3 Days
Level 3 Small Electrical Energy Storage Systems: 2 Days
Level 3 Award in the Requirements for the Design and Installation of Domestic and Small Commercial Electric Vehicle Charging Installations: 2 Days

You must be a resident of South Yorkshire living in Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham or Doncaster
19 or above as of 31st August 2025
For the Level 2 Diploma you must earn less than £26,227.50
For all other courses you must earn less than £34,977.43
