This qualification gives the underpinning knowledge for electrical work in domestic, commercial and

industrial installations.


  1. •The open-learning version of the course (mainly for mature students) runs one evening per week 6pm – 9pm and is

  2. designed for three years of study, however, well motivated students should cover the material in less time.

  3. •You are expected to study at home for six hours per week as well as attending the Centre.

  4. •Course materials are accessible from workbooks and via the internet.

  4. •Installations (Buildings and Structures)


Level 3

  1. •Application of Health, Safety and Electrical Principles (Stage 3)

  2. •Installation Inspection, Testing and Commissioning

  3. •Installation Fault Diagnosis and Rectification.
